My experience around leading teams goes back many years, working for companies such as Twilio, RSA, and America Online in various engineering and leadership roles. I am passionate about developing human capabilities and leading organizations to tangible outcomes. I am particularly interested in this position because using the wide range of expertise that Gambians possess to contribute to the country’s development can make a significant difference in the country’s development path. Being a regular visitor, I am often disappointed in the state of various sectors of our economy, from healthcare to transportation to information technology. I find it hard to reconcile the great strides made by Gambians in economic sectors with the state of affairs in the country. I would love to work with fellow Gambians passionate about our country’s development to strategize how the expertise of Gambians can accelerate the growth of critical sectors of our country.
